5 Benefits of Regular Movement

1. HAPPINESS

That's right, you can turn your frown upside down just by getting in some regular exercise and movement.

Research has shown that people who exercise are happier than those that don't AND one of the first prescriptions Doctor's are giving those that have depression and anxiety disorders is to get them to start exercising on a regular basis.

2. REDUCES YOUR RISK OF HEART DISEASE

Did you know that exercise has the same effect on heart disease as taking medications? With research in 2013 finding this awesome result, it now means you can officially start counteracting heart disease with exercise and wean down of those meds just by upping your daily exercise and movements!

3. SLEEP BETTER

People who exercise tend to sleep a whole heap better! This one is definitely not a quick fix for those who toss and turn at night as apparently you need to be regularly exercising for at least 3 months to see a regular improved sleep.

4. HIGHER PRODUCTIVITY AT WORK

People who move more at work get more done! So take your lunch with an intention in mind to get up and walk for at least 20-30 minutes each day and be sure to get in some regular movement around the office. For more tips on this attend our next Organic Family Movements Workshop (see our Facebook Events page for more details!)

5. IMPROVE MEMORY

Building up a sweat when you exercise activates an area of your brain called the hippocampus, the area responsible for memory and learning. Research found that children who were more active had better brain development!

Start reducing yours and your kid's TV/ iPad time and get everyone outside in the sun for a better memory for you and higher brain development for them!
